An amazing centre with really good facilities and I am very pleased that it has opened here in Sunderland. The only downfall is the parking situation which needs to be addressed.

I think that it is great that they have built this huge building. I like it because of all the facilities - two gyms, massive swimming pool etc. It's fantastic for any family or anyone.

I think that the Sunderland Aquatic Centre is a fantastic addition to the region. I recently returned to Sunderland and on Saturday I went swimming in the 50 metre pool for the first time. Generally, I found the experience very good, so well done on establishing the centre.

I believe that 50 lengths should be available to the general public every day. Just having Tuesdays and Saturdays does not maximise upon the potential of a 50 metre pool.

It is good to see a facility like this in Sunderland and I hope it can prove a major success.

Lovely pool, very smooth to swim in. This is going to be one VERY fast pool when meets are eventually held here.

Myself and my husband visited the centre today for a swim and we were very impressed, the large number of lanes allows you to swim without being interrupted by other swimmers, also the hairdryers are a great idea!

Since attending the fantastic launch event (in not so fantastic weather!) I've used the Wellness Centre at the Aquatic Centre a couple of times. The equipment is excellent, probably better than anything you'd get in a private, and more expensive, gym, and it's a lovely, bright, air-conditioned space, which (almost) makes exercising a pleasure! Nice spacious changing rooms with plenty of lockers too. However, I would have preferred individual shower cubicles, and hairdryers would be helpful.
