| The Community Legal Service is a
government initiative that aims to ensure that people have access to good
quality legal advice and information. In order to achieve this aim,
Community Legal Service Partnerships were created.
Community Legal Service Partnerships
Community Legal Service Partnerships bring together those who fund
legal and advice services (such as the Legal Services Commission, local
authorities, local and national charities) with those who supply these
services (such as solicitors and advice centres). Partnerships can also
involve groups who represent the interests of users of legal advice
services, such as community groups. The role of such partnerships is to
assess the need for legal services and work together to ensure that the
right kinds of services are available to meet the needs of the local
community.
More information about the Community Legal Service is available on the
Community Legal Service
Community Legal Advice
