Adult Services helps older people (including those with mental health
problems) and their carers and friends, by looking at their needs with them and arranging necessary support.
Everyone is
individual therefore services offered will be different depending on the person's needs. We need to find out how best we can support you and anyone who cares for you. We do this by talking things through with you and your carer(s), collecting information and agreeing with you what might be done. This is called an assessment.
There is a booklet available called (
274
kb) 'What is an
Assessment' which will tell you more about what is involved.
There are a range of services which may be offered to you to provide you
with support at home and to help you to get out and about.
