Where to go for help and information

Most older people live independent lives. As we grow older there are times when we may need temporary help or help over a longer period of time, for example, with everyday tasks like washing, dressing, cooking and doing the housework.

There are a number of organisations that provide information, advice and support to older people and their carers. These include:
